Growing Vegetation
The nature regenerates itself in Far Cry 2. That means that limbs, trees and other things are growing the whole time you play. So if you pass one certain area several times, you will think that you are in a different area and thats really interesting for the gameplay. By the Genesis variable you can adjust the speed of growing of the nature. This and this demo shows the effect imposingly.
Fire
Fire is one of the most important elements in Far Cry 2. It does not only have the property to burn!, but it looks together very good and offers many tactical possibilities.

Weathersystem
Furthermore, Far Cry 2 offers a elaborate weathersystem as well as a day-/night cycle. The fire behaves physically correct and depending on where the wind blows the fire will accordingly spread out. Moreover the flight characteristics of the glider, one of the vehicles in the game will adjust itself to the given wind.

Advanced Indirect Lightning
Through Advanced Indirect Lightning, it's possible that the sun as also other lightning objects create direct light. The immediate environment on an object also creates his own light and provides reflexions on different metal surfaces.

Real-Time Dirt Effects
With Real-Time Dirt Effects vehicles and other things can be adapted to different situations. That means, that if the road is dirty, the level of dirt degree will rise. So if you like clean vehicles, you have to change your driving style immediately.

High Quality Textures
High Quality Textures offer the player many detailed things on a high zoom-level like the fibres of leaves or each grain of sand.
