You have the opportunity to choose between more than 30 different weapons in Far Cry 2. The weaponry consists of silenced weapons and the well tried machete.

Caisson

In the case of your ammunition is empty during a fight you can take some new one of caissons standing around. You can take advantage of these boxes by shooting them. All enemies near the caisson will die due to the content of the box explodes.

Weapon Reliability

New is the concept of Weapon reliability. So weapons will become from time to time more unreliable and it's harder to aim. This will end so that you can't use the weapon anymore. Here is a short techdemo which shows this concept.

If the weapon is broken down you can buy a new one in stores of your faction.

Handfeuerwaffen

• Accuracy International AS50
  The AS50 fifty caliber (12.7mm) sniper / antimateriel rifle is the latest development of the famous British company Accuracy International Ltd. This rifle reportedly has been developed especially for US SOCOM users and after for US NAVY. The AS50 is to provide combat operators with highly accurate and rapid aimed fire at extended ranges.

• AK-47
  The AK-47 (contraction of Russian: Автомат Калашникова образца 1947 года; Avtomat Kalashnikova obraztsova 1947 goda; "Kalashnikov's automatic rifle model of year 1947") is a 7.62 mm assault rifle developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov.

• Armalite AR-18
  The AR-18 is an assault rifle chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition. The AR-18 was designed by Arthur Miller, George Sullivan, and Charles Dorchester at ArmaLite in 1963 as an improved 5.56 mm caliber alternative to Armalite's previous AR-15 design, for which production rights had been sold to Colt.

• Benelli M3
  The Benelli M3 (Super 90) is a pump-action or semi-automatic shotgun designed and manufactured by Italian firearms manufacturer Benelli. The M3 holds a maximum of eight rounds and uses the proprietary Benelli semi-automatic system first showcased in the M1.

• Colt M1911
  The M1911 is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol (handgun) chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. It was designed by John M. Browning, and was the standard-issue side arm for the United States armed forces from 1911 to 1985, and is still carried by some U.S. forces.

• Daewoo USAS-12
  The USAS-12 is a combat shotgun made and developed in South Korea by Daewoo Precision Industries during the 1980s. The USAS-12 is a gas-operated, selective-fire weapon which bears a certain resemblance to the M16 assault rifle and is designed to provide sustained firepower in close-combat scenarios.

• Desert Eagle
  The Desert Eagle is a large caliber gas-operated semi-automatic pistol manufactured primarily in Israel by IMI (Israel Military Industries, now Israel Weapon Industries) for Magnum Research, Inc.

• Dragunow SVD
  The SVD (Russian: Снайперская винтовка Драгунова, Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova), "Dragunov sniper rifle", is a 7.62 mm semi-automatic sniper rifle, developed in the former Soviet Union.

• FFV Carl Gustaf
  The Carl Gustav (also Carl-Gustaf) is the common name for the 84 mm man-portable multi-role recoilless rifle produced by Saab Bofors Dynamics (formerly Bofors Anti-Armour AB) in Sweden.

• Flamethrower
  A flamethrower is a mechanical device designed to project a long controllable stream of fire. Most military flamethrowers use liquids, but commercial flamethrowers tend to use high-pressure propane and natural gas, which is considered safer.

• FN Fal
  The Fusil Automatique Léger (Light Automatic Rifle) or FAL is a 7.62x51 NATO self-loading, (with exceptions) selective fire rifle produced by the Belgian armaments manufacturer Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN) during the Cold War, and adopted by many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries.

• HK G3
  The G3 is a 7.62 mm automatic rifle developed in the 1950s by the German armament manufacturer HK (Heckler & Koch GmbH) in collaboration with the Spanish state-owned design and development agency CETME (Centro de Estudios Técnicos de Materiales Especiales).

• MAC-10
  The MAC-10 (Military Armament Corporation Model 10) is a highly compact, blowback operated, selective fire submachine gun (technically, a machine pistol) developed by Gordon B. Ingram in 1964.

• Makarov
  The Makarov PM (Pistol Makarova, muh-KAR-uhv, Russ: Пистолет Макарова ПМ) is a semi-automatic pistol designed in the late 1940s, by Nikolai Fyodorovich Makarov, and was the Soviet Union's standard military side arm from 1951-1991.

• HK MP5 SD
  The MP5 is a 9 mm submachine gun of German design, developed in the 1960s by a group of engineers from the West German arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch GmbH (HK). The company, motivated by the success of the G3 rifle developed a group of small arms consisting of four types of firearms.

• M249 SAW
  The M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (M249 SAW) is the United States military designation for a sub-family of the FN Minimi squad automatic weapon (from Mini-mitrailleuse French: "mini-machine gun". Both are 5.56x45mm NATO light machine guns manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) and its subsidiaries.

• Milkor MGL
  The MGL is a grenade launcher manufactured in South Africa by the Milkor company (renamed Rippel Effect in 2007). It is a clockwork (spring-driven) revolver multiple-shot weapon, intended to significantly increase a small squad's firepower when compared to traditional single-shot grenade launchers like the M203.

• M79
  The M79 grenade launcher also know as "the Thumper," is a single-shot, shoulder-fired, break open grenade launcher which fires a 40 x46 mm grenade and first appeared during the Vietnam War.

• PK
  The PK is a 7.62 mm general purpose machine gun designed in the Soviet Union and currently in production in Russia. Its NATO equivalents are the FN MAG, MG3, and M60 machine guns. The PK machine gun was introduced in the 1960s and replaced the SGM and RPD machine guns in Soviet service.

• Remington 700
  The Model 700 series of firearms are hunting rifles manufactured by Remington Arms since 1962. All are based on the same rounded, centerfire bolt action. They come with a 3, 4 or 5-round internal magazine which sometimes includes a floor-plate for quick-unloading, and sometimes is "blind," meaning it has no floor-plate.

• RPG-7
  The RPG-7 (Russian: РПГ-7) is a widely-produced, portable, shoulder-launched, anti-tank rocket propelled grenade weapon. Originally the RPG-7 and its predecessor, the RPG-2, were designed by the Soviet Union, and now manufactured by the Bazalt company. The weapon has the GRAU index 6G3.

• SPAS-12
  The SPAS-12 is a combat shotgun manufactured by the Italian company Franchi S.p.A. The SPAS-12 was designed during the 1970s as a semi-automatic military or law enforcement shotgun, and production began in October 1979.

• Springfield M1903A4
  The Springfield M1903, formally the United States Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903, is an American magazine-fed, bolt-action rifle used primarily during the first half of the 20th century.

Tactical Weapons

• Browning M2
  The M2 Machine Gun, or Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun is a heavy machine gun designed towards the end of World War I by John Browning. The Browning .50 machine gun has been used extensively as a vehicle weapon and for aircraft armament by the United States from the 1920s to the present day.

• C4
  C-4 or Composition 4 is a common variety of military plastic explosive. The term composition is used for any stable explosive, and "Composition A" and "Composition B" are other known variants. C-4 is 1.34 times as explosive as trinitrotoluene (TNT).

• Land Mine
  A land mine is an explosive device designed to be placed on or in the ground to explode when triggered by an operator or the proximity of a vehicle, person, or animal. The name originates from the practice of mining, where tunnels were dug under enemy fortifications or forces.

• Machete
  The machete (pronounced /məˈʃɛti/) is a large cleaver-like cutting tool. The blade is typically 50–60 cm (18–24 in) long, usually with a thin blade under 3mm thick. In the English language, an equivalent term is matchet, though the name 'machete' enjoys greater currency.

• Mk 19 grenade launcher
  The Mk 19 Grenade Launcher is a belt-fed automatic 40 mm grenade launcher or grenade machine gun that entered U.S. military service during the Cold War, first seeing action during the Vietnam War and remaining in service today.

• Molotov Cocktail
  The Molotov cocktail, also known as the petrol bomb, gasoline bomb or Molotov bomb, is a generic name used for a variety of improvised incendiary weapons. Simple to make, they are frequently used by rioters.

• Mortar
  A mortar is a muzzle-loading indirect fire weapon that fires shells at low velocities, short ranges, and high-arcing ballistic trajectories. It typically has a barrel length less than 15 times its caliber.

• Granate
  A hand grenade is a small hand-held anti-personnel weapon designed to be thrown and then explode after a short time. The word "grenade" is derived from the French "grenade" (meaning pomegranate, the fruit originally called in French "Pomme-grenade" or "grenade-apple," in reference to the general size of early grenades and because its shrapnel pellets reminded soldiers of the seeds of this fruit).

  A flare gun is a gun that fires flares. They are typically used as a distress signal as well as other signaling purposes at sea and between aircraft and people on the ground.
